Filapylene – Polypropylene sutures are a non-absorbable synthetic monofilament suture composed of a synthetic linear polyolefin. Cardiopilene is a monofilament uncoated suture, colored blue by a color additive. Polypropylene sutures advantages include minimal tissue reactivity and durability.
